One of the best ways to experience the area is the popular Franconia Notch Bike Tour. This self-guided tour leaves Loon at 10:30AM and 1:00PM, with a shuttle ride to scenic Echo Lake in Franconia Notch for you and your bike. From there you'll enjoy a leisurely (mostly) downhill ride along a paved bike trail through the scenic Notch and back to Loon Mountain.
Please Note: Use of the facilities and equipment requires the presence of a parent or guardian over the age of 18.
Starting in early July, Loon will offer a new way to experience the Loon area - on a Segway PT tour! You will receive an orientation to learn to ride a Segway PT (it's fun and easy to learn!). Then you'll glide with your guide on a tour of the local area, learning about area history, logging and mill town heritage, and how it transformed into today's popular year-round destination.
Tours will be approximately 3 hours and will be offered several times per day. You may reserve by stopping by the Gondola Barn, or call toll-free 1-800-229-LOON. (Please note, we are not yet taking tour reservations).
Participants must be at least 14 years old (participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and weigh at least 100 lbs. and not more than 250 lbs.
